COFL Night In America Preview: Packers @ Bears

Special Tuesday edition of COFL Night In America tonight at 9:30 ET on COFL Network! Tonight we have two struggling three-win teams fighting like cornered animals to stay in the playoff mix.

Prez and the Bears are just about where the pundits expected them to be. With a poor team and a touch schedule, very few people outside of the Chicago area expected the Bears to be in the Playoffs this season. Add to the mix a host of injuries and the coach's debilitating paranoia of the passing game, and you have a rough franchise expected to win 5-6 games this season.

The visitors have taken a very different route to a very similar location. Led by Coach D-Rob, who some considered to be the most talented coach during Madden 17, the Packers entered the season with sky-high expectations. In fact, for some time during the preseason, they were the Vegas favorite to win COFL Bowl VI. However, some questioned this after a couple rough preseason outings. It turned out where there was smoke, there was fire, and the Packers stumbled hard out of the gate, losing three of their first four games, including a humiliating 34-10 shellacking at the hands of the Seahawks and a close loss to the Bears.

GB Keys to Victory: The Packers have the dominant roster. Offensively, they need to avoid interceptions. Play it safe. Dink and dunk and rely on a healthy dose of Ty Montgomery on the ground. Defensively, load the box and swarm Jordan Howard. He beat them almost single-handedly last game and there's no reason the Packers should allow that. Make Trubisky beat them with his arm.

CHI Keys to Victory: Mitchell Trubisky showed signs of promise in the passing game for the first time all season, going 8 of 10 with no interceptions in a hard-fought division game against the first-place Lions. He will need to continue with that progress and make some throws to back off the defense and give opportunity for Jordan Howard to get another 100+ yard game. Defensively, they want to bring pressure and mix up coverages just like they did last time, confusing Rodgers into bad throws and interceptions.

Line: Packers -5

Total: 42.5

COFL Experts Predict: Packers 20, Bears 17
